Frog Pond Wetland Preserve is a nature preserve located in Monterey County, California. The preserve is composed of 17 acres of wetlands and open space that are home to more than 100 species of native plants, as well as over 20 varieties of frogs. Start your tour at the Cannery Row district, home to some of the city's earliest industries. Here, you'll see old canneries and factories, as well as lively streets filled with cafés, boutiques, and galleries. The next stop is Fisherman's Wharf, the site of longshoremen loading ships with fresh seafood. Next door is the picturesque Boardwalk district, home to amusement parks and movie theaters in the 1920s.

If you have time left after your walking tour, check out the scenic coastline near Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. This area is known for its rugged coastlines and dramatic cliffs, as well as its many tide pools and wildlife refuges.

Jack's Peak Monterey is a rugged and scenic mountain peak in central California. The peak is located in the Sequoia National Forest, about 64 miles east of Visalia and 26 miles south of Bear Valley. The peak is part of the Panamint Range, which overlooks Owens Valley. Jack's Peak rises to an elevation of 8,161 feet above sea level.

Jack's Peak has numerous trails that lead to its summit, making it a popular hiking destination. The easiest trail to follow begins at the Rainbow Falls Trailhead and ascends 2,000 feet to the top. Other trails that lead to the summit include the Diamondback Trail and the Jack's Peak Trail. Both trails are steep and strenuous and require a good amount of fitness and hiking experience.

If you're looking for a more relaxing hike, consider taking the Majestic Loop Trail. This trail begins at the Silver Lake Trailhead and passes by several nice lakes before reaching the summit. Alternatively, if you're looking for a more challenging hike, try taking the Grand Canyon Route or the Half Dome Route. Both routes ascend over 8,000 feet to reach Jack's Peak.
